The possibility of acting and reflecting on the edge of a hill opposite the wonderful landscape that is the vast reservoir in Orellana (Badajoz, Spain) is a unique and unrepeatable experience.
This project aims to conceptualize the feelings, attitudes and actions of the environment and then to shape them through the demanded typologies. This process is based on looking, seeing and contemplating.
According to this idea some pieces are designed to be temporarily occupied and they empty out their whole inner space into the horizon. This kind of occupation determines the solid and severe shape of the building made of concrete. This shape surrounds the space and leans out of the hill as a folded hollow.
As Adalberto Libera did in Capri, we introduce the window as a space creator in order for the landscape (looking), the light (seeing) and the time (contemplating) to be the main figures.
